Little known until a few years ago, Šibenik is a pretty medieval seaside town with a splendid cathedral.

Don’t judge Šibenik from its outskirts: wait until you reach the city center, a fistful of sparkling white that contrasts with the blue color of the sea. With a lovely promenade along the promenade, the characteristic uphill streets of the old town, a stunning cathedral not to be missed and numerous tourist settlements along the coast, Šibenik is probably the most underrated of the Dalmatian coastal towns.

Fun Fact: Šibenik is one of the few towns on the Dalmatian coast to have been founded by Croatian tribes rather than the Illyrians or the Romans.
